BBC NEWS | Technology | Student sued over CD piracy study

This is unbelievable. SunnComm actually wants to sue this kid for publishing this fact: their software can be disabled. They want to make sure that John Halderman is punished for “revealing the secrets of the anti-piracy measures”.

What’s the secret here? Is it that SunnComm charged a buttload of money for their anti-piracy tools which turned out to be as effective as Sony’s Key2Audio technology. They should re-word that phrase to say “exposing the flaws of the anti-piracy company”.
