Not a bad weekend for doing nothing. Friday I put away another box of crap from my move. Only six to go. At this torrid pace I’ll be done by 2004. Sometime.

Saturday was very cool, because we had another poker tournament which was the perfect planned activity for the day. A snow storm moved into CO and started an impromptu game of bumper cars in Denver so we avoided that mess and got stewed in the comfort of TW’s house. Anyway I, staying true to form, went out fourth in a field of fourteen. No, I didn’t GET fourth. I was the fourth person out of the the tourney. Thank you. Once we had enough losers we started another table, which I won and actually made money on the night so all was not bad. The losers’ table is like vying for first place in the NIT Basketball Tournament, and the victory is just as, uh, sweet.

Today I went to Home Depot and picked up a new end-threaded shower arm to replace the ball-end arm so I could attach my big-ass shower head. It’s the one that drenches you with something like 30 streams of water, and I’ve missed that drenching for a month now. I am keeping my fingers crossed, because I couldn’t see very well into the wall where the arm attaches so I don’t know if it’s leaking or not. I hope I used enough Teflon tape.

Today I learned that not everything is as exciting as it seems in my head once it gets written down.
