OK, it’s a new year and I’m damn glad that life can return to “normal” for a little while. Let’s recap where I left off. Saddam was caught, our cows are lethally crazy, we’re capturing comet droppings and Earth has invaded Mars. This sounds about right.

I find it intriguing that people are still fascinated with the whole 3D picture craze. Why am I intrigued by this? It’s simple…they are willing to have their pictures taken in public like these people in order to see 2 dimensional pictures of 3 dimensional objects manipulated to trick their brains into thinking they see 3 dimensional objects. Imagination Lost. It’s probably pretty cool, though. Right? Take a look at the guy in the bottom right corner of the picture.

He doesn’t seem to be too impressed. But I think NASA needs to find out who that woman is behind the cameraman. She can see the images without the 3D specs so she must have some sort of superpower. Or red and green contacts. Or maybe she’s trying to stare through it like a 3D stereogram pic:

Either way she’s probably really unimpressed. Don’t stare too long at that image.
