So almost everyone knows how I went through a big Orkut phase where it was the first thing I read in the morning and the first thing I read when I got home from work. Now I can barely stand to be on the thing. It takes about 1 minute to load a page, which doesn’t seem that long, but in Internet time that’s a big deal. I guess it’s grown so big that the service just can’t handle the capacity. Also, if I don’t check in everyday, I end up getting inundated with spam. I didn’t check it this weekend and had 46 spam message waiting for me, but the nice thing is that I can only delete 5 messages at a time so with 10 rounds of deletions, I was rid of spam. That needs to change, especially since none of it is porn.

I’m beginning to back off the Orkut train…

[Edit: I realize Orkut is just a beta, but it's hard to help "test" when the site is slow. Accessibility and speed should never need to be tested in my opinion. Downtime for updates? That's fine.]
