So I made it back to Denver in a very “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”-esque fashion. It only took 48 hours to drive from Little Rock, AR to Denver, CO. After doing a couple of 360s in a huge median in Arkansas (I was born to hydroplane), I made it to Kansas without incident. Once I got to BFE, KS I got stranded by the ice and had to bed down in a surprisingly nice hotel. No cell phone coverage, no phones in the hotel. No phones in the hotel. Let me repeat that. No phones in the hotel. Anyway, I made it back and the 4Runner is safe but she’s going to get some new all terrain shoes.
One thing I learned about this trip is that the people I work with and work for are a very caring group of people. They were genuinely worried about me, which is pretty cool. It makes coming back to work a pleasure.
Oh, I’ve started a new organization method for work - I started implementing a bit of David Allen’s Getting Things Done. I’ll let you know how it goes.
