I got my ass handed to me on Sunday in the COTW at Vista Ridge. I only lost 1 point a couple weekends ago at Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock, but I barely escaped getting swept on Sunday. Brian leads the best of 47 series (unless I lose, then it goes to best of 107), 16-14.

Both courses are pretty sweet, but I’m partial to Red Hawk Ridge. It’s not as penal as Vista Ridge and the views are just as sweet. Don’t get me wrong, Vista is a great course, but it didn’t give me that “awe” factor like Red Hawk did. We played Vista around 7000 yards and RHR at 6850 yards. I wish I’d brought a camera to take pics of the views, because they were freakin incredible.

The winter prices were reasonable ($45 for RHR; $55 for Vista), with significant discounts right now. One thing that REALLY impressed me was how accomodating the staff at RHR is. That alone will put me in my car to drive down again.

Oh, my woeful Titans play the Broncos on Christmas Day. GO TITANS! And how ’bout them Steelers, huh?
