I’ve always loved Trillian because I have never felt right in telling people they needed to open a [insert Yahoo, MSN, AOL, ICQ here] account to chat with me when I’M the computer geek. Cerulean Studios doesn’t make a Mac version, though. 
I checked with the friendly neighborhood Sourceforge Project and found one that works just as well, if not better. Fire is just what the doctor ordered.
I installed and configured it in no time flat and have off-loaded the IM duties of my PC to the Mac. Score one more for X.
