I had to help my mom with an email issue at home and it didn’t seems as if I was going to be able to walk her through it. Not because it was that type of problem but more of the fact that she doesn’t really listen very well. Anyway, I remembered that Microsoft built in a remote control feature in XP called “Remote Assistance”. I was able to walk her through sending the invitation and get her connected, but I honestly wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality.
Damn…I am impressed. The response time was actually better than the TightVNC response time on my own network, and this connection bridged CO and TN! I have to give Microsoft credit on this feature - it’s made life a whole lot easier for those of us in the Offspring PC Support program.
