T-minus, uh…damn…damn. I’m packing to move houses this weekend and need to get everything organized over the next few days. I have three days to get my work affairs in order with a leadership meeting in the middle - then I head to Japan. There are so many f’ing things I need to do before then and I’m f’ing stressing out. Luckily, I’ll have a 12 hour flight across the Pacific to decompress when it’s all over.

12 hours.

Man, there are few things I like doing for 12 hours. Let’s see. Nope. Nope. Yep. Nope. I have to get a power converter for the plane to recharge my laptop and iPod. Did I mention it’s a 43,200 second flight? I need to get a power adapter for my laptop and camera for documenting all the shiznit that’s gonna happen. I need to get packing tape…ah, I’m regressing. OK. I think we have a skeleton of a plan - Tokyo, Kyoto, Shibuya, Shinjuku - maybe Osaka, Hiroshima and Nagasaki - on the Shinkansen (bullet train). These words keep looking more and more foreign to me.

Going to a place where few people speak English seems a bit overwhelming. I know that a lot of Japanese know English but with a population of 126 million, the percentages are not with me. Maybe that’ll be a good thing!
