I’m sure you’re all following this news but in case you’re stuck somewhere like Iraq (Mike) and want to catch up on our world as I see it, check out these links:

  • It’s getting tough to keep watching the Tour de France. A favorite, Alexandre Vinokourov was blood doping, got caught and got booted. The leader, Michael Rasmussen, is apparently a liar and got fired from his team and removed from the Tour.
  • If you call someone a nerd online, be prepared for the repercussions.
  • Google’s Build Your Campus in 3D Competition is pretty cool but will probably be implicated in some national tragedy down the road.
  • Dano Plato, er, Lindsey Lohan is back in the news. Her hostages don’t want to sue her if possible.
  • Michael Vick doesn’t think he’s guilty. $pon$er$ disagree.

    • On a “What is going on in my world” note, Liz and I went to see “Live Free or Die Hard” and it kicks ass. I wish more movies were like this one. John McClane is paired up with Mac guy and they blow shit up…well, McClane blows shit up and Mac guy cowers. It’s a proven Hollywood theme (the “Odd Couple” premise) and it still works here.
